Fashion Construction Fundamentals with Rashaad Holley

Sewing is more than a trade or skill, for it can also be recreationally viewed as a “stress reliever,” or catharsis. By implementing strategies obtained through training with The Center for Arts Education and Social Emotional Learning, Rashaad Holley, a well-known fashion designer, will guide participants through a rich, empowering experience while demonstrating his vast knowledge and experience as a prominent designer in the fashion industry. The sessions are all-inclusive for participants ages 9+. Each participant will receive 6 hours of instruction: lessons, tools, supplies, and equipment, enabling the learning and practice to continue outside of the workshop. (Light refreshments and break/lunch will be provided.)

Rashaad Holley has already served over 200 youth with sewing lessons, through partnerships with Arts for Learning of WNY and Grant Street Neighborhood Center.
